[Controlled States] Different versions of the Airport Bomb Plot in UK

BBC News 24 has reported that an Intelligence official is suggesting that "the terrorists had planned to take explosives on board three planes smuggled in fizzy drinks bottles. Then when the planes were over the Atlantic they would blow them up simultaneously. Then the wreckage would fall in to the ocean and a state of confusion and disorderliness would ensue".

But already I have heard other different versions. One states that official reports state that the terrorists were planning on blowing up several planes in mid flight explosions over some of the uk's major cities and towns.

But it has also been stated by Scotland Yard that "A plot to blow up planes in flight from the UK to the US and commit "mass murder on an unimaginable scale" has been disrupted" so now its the US aswell as the UK that was the target.

The BBC seems to covering this story the most and a lot of News outlets are carrying the BBC version of events. Also the BBC has reporter from its regional news rooms reporting from all Airports in their UK regions and not just the major airports that these so called terrorists would have used.

So rather then post the reports one at a time I will provide links, below, to most of the main stories and not just the BBC.
